This project is a luxury micro resort.  Architecture was completed on island, but all finishes, lighting, plumbing fixtures and furnishings were selected and specified in Canada.

Capitalising on the openness of the architectural design, finishes were selected to blur the lines between exterior and interior – the tile floor blends seamlessly with the sand on the dunes.  Because the villa is intended for hospitality use, all finishes were selected with durability in mind, and, due to the ravages of sea salt, all materials were selected to be able to withstand island environmental challenges.  Easily maintained porcelain tile, powder coated finishes, Sunbrella and stain resistant fabrics were specified for the hospitality rental market.

The furnishings reflect a continental contemporary style.  The palette is borrowed from nature, and rich wood stains are juxtaposed against those cool island colours.  Crisp whites form the backdrop for blues that are taken right out of the ocean adjacent.  Bright greens and hot orange add contrast and complete the palette.
