An almost original century duplex with many small, dark rooms was completely gutted and opened up to create a cozy, bright and current home. In addition to completely insulating from within, a budget-sensitive kitchen was completed with IKEA  cabinets.

This renovation respected traditional details, such as the staircase which was maintained and refreshed, & preserving 100 year old floor grates that were cleaned and reused.
